Vivienne is 1 Year Old

Vivienne celebrated her 1st birthday this last weekend and it was a beautiful day filled with joy and love for our little girl.  I will share the details of her party in a later post, so you can consider this the closing of her weekly photo series.  I feel extremely fortunate to have been able to capture our baby girl as she has grown every week and will cherish the images for a lifetime.

On her first birthday Vivienne was 28.5 inches tall, weighed in at 21 pounds 6 ounces, and had 0 teeth.  We think those little teeth are coming though!  Her favorite things to do are: bath time, peek a boo, and "petting" the cats.  Her favorite food as you know from the last post is grapes.  Her favorite toy is her little red piano and her favorite book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

We look forward to what this next year will bring for our little family and are excited to watch Vivienne grow and learn everyday.  We are truly blessed to be called mom and dad!

Vivienne's Weely Photo #51

This is our last weekly picture!  Tear.  My baby is growing so fast I can't stand it.  She is doing big girl things like drinking from a sippy cup by herself and getting upset when she can't continue to try to eat my deodorant in the bathroom.  Alright, I don't know if the latter is actually a big girl thing but she is most definitely expressing her opinion.  She is very independent and can play for a long time by herself focusing on the task at hand.  She loves her daddy.  ALOT!  She squeals with excitement when he walks into the room and loves to scale Mt. Daddy when he is laying on the floor.  She tries to put her own shoes on her feet, is good at holding things by their proper handles and loves eating grapes.  I mean seriously, she needs a 12 step program for the grapes.  She is becoming and expert in the bathtub.  She loves to "help" me fill the bath and watch it as it fills and excitedly waits to be placed in the water.  She also loves to help me with the laundry and is an expert at closing the washer and dryer doors.  She loves to watch the clothes spinning inside.  She is a professional cat herder.  An expert dog toy squeaker. A skilled bell ringer. A virtuoso on the toy piano.  She is loved by mommy and daddy with everything we have in us.

Week 51

This week's outtakes are typical of our photo sessions that last about 30 seconds to 1 minute typically, then she's out!

Vivienne's Weekly Photo #50

I can't believe we are at week 50 with 2 weeks left in Vivienne's weekly photos.  Time has certainly flown by.  Vivi had a big week 50, she started "school".  It took a few days for her to get acclimated to her new environment but is now exploring with the best of them.  She is not crying when we leave her in the morning and is even napping better during the day.  The school has been great and they enjoy daily buggy rides outside if the weather is nice or to the indoor play ground.  It was a little hard to leave her in a new place the first day but we get to watch her progress on the cameras they have in the room.  It's amazing to watch her interact with the other kids and play.

Vivienne's Weekly Photos #47,48,49

What can I say, the holidays took over and I didn't get baby girl's pictures posted!  Better late than never I guess.  I'm now in the throws of planning a first birthday party for baby V.  I'm so very excited for her to celebrate the big day!  Since my last post, we traveled to my sister's house for Christmas.  Viv made out like a bandit like we expected.  So many new toys that we have to rotate them out so she isn't too overwhelmed.  Even though Viv received so many nice things for her first Christmas, the best thing at Christmas were my sister's cats.  She LOVED them and would squeal in delight when she touched them.  Vivi gets closer and closer to walking every day.  She is feeding herself like a pro and pretty much will eat anything.
